The first Defender had various options, however, the current version is only available in 90, 110, and the bigger 130 models. The range doesn't include a pickup truck, and Land Rover hasn't made a convertible. But for those who want to experience the excitement of driving with the top down, there's a solution – Dutch coachbuilder Heritage Customs has removed the roof of the off-roader.

Based on the Defender 90, the Valiance Convertible comes with a foldable fabric roof that stands out against its Sunbeam Yellow exterior. This is the company's second modification, after a previous model released about a year ago with stunning white steel wheels. The new version is more eye-catching, highlighting larger two-tone rims, with an extra one mounted on the rear door.

Heritage Customs didn't just stop at replacing the fixed hardtop with an electrically folding roof; they also installed a sturdy roll cage for added safety. Inside, the cabin got a fresh look with yellow stitching that matches the striking exterior. The seats were upgraded with luxurious black quilted leather, and the dashboard now boasts 3D inlays crafted from etched aluminum. And if you take a closer look, you'll see that this Defender 90 comes with the optional central front seat.

Heritage Customs does not have any Defender Valiance Convertibles readily available. These custom-made vehicles require a minimum of three months to be fully assembled and come with a price tag starting from €82,500 (approximately $90,000), excluding the cost of the base car and any applicable taxes. However, the production capacity has been increased, and Heritage Customs is excited to unveil another Valiance Convertible build in the near future.

In 2024, there aren't many SUV convertibles around, and we'll soon be saying goodbye to one. Volkswagen has just revealed that the T-Roc Convertible will be discontinued after its initial generation.
