Exciting news! The upcoming Toyota 4Runner is on its way. We just got a sneak peek at the new SUV today. Toyota posted a teaser photo on Instagram revealing the back of the vehicle with the prominent 4Runner badge.
The picture doesn't show a lot, but we can make out a silver rear fender, a tow hitch, and a small part of the left taillight. Despite the secrecy of this image, it's obvious that the upcoming 4Runner will share some angular features with the 2024 Land Cruiser—even the blue color seems to match perfectly.
The 4Runner emblem has been repositioned lower on the tailgate compared to its previous placement. Previously located just below the Toyota badge, it is now situated closer to the base of the tailgate. Despite the change in position, the font of the 4Runner logo remains unchanged.
The release date of the new 4Runner remains uncertain, as the caption doesn't provide any clues. However, there are rumors suggesting that it might make its debut in a few weeks. As for its availability, the SUV is anticipated to be on sale later this year as a 2025 model. Our previous reports indicate that the 4Runner is likely to offer the same engine choices as the new Tacoma, including a turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a horsepower range of 228 to 278. Additionally, there is a possibility of a more robust i-Force Max option being available as well.
